CSS clip Property

To specify the area of an absolutely positioned element that remains visible

Definition and Notes.

1. The CSS clip property creates a rectangular window that shows a part of an element.

2.The clip property creates a mask through which a section of an image is displayed.It is applicable only with absolutely positioned elements.Only shape allowed is a rectangle .

Note-The elements border and padding but not the margin can be clipped.

rect(top right bottom left) Four values to specify the offset for the rectangle which clips the area
auto The element is not clipped. Its the default
inherit Values of clip property are inherited from the parent element
