The CSS hanging-punctutation property is used to specify whether a punctuation mark(if present), may be placed outside the linebox or at the start or end of the line of text .

Value Description
none None of the character hangs
first A quote or an opening bracket at the beginning of the first-formatted line of the element may hang
last A quote or a closing bracket at the end of the last-formatted line of the element may hang
force-end A fullstop or a comma at the end of a line may hang
allow-end A stop or a comma at the extreme end of the line may hang, if it doesn't fit to the justifications
