CSS3 column-width Property


Specifies the width of columns in a multicolumn layout


Definition and Notes.

1. The CSS column-width property defines the optimalwidth of columns in an element laid out within multiple columns

2. The actual width might be wider to fill available space, or narrower if sufficent space is not available.But the value must be greater than zero.

Syntax:

length To specify the optimal column width. The actual width may be wider or narrower than it.
auto If used, the browser determines the column width based on other properties(eg: column-count).
